Christian Counselling Program
Christian Counselling
The Christian Counselling Diploma is the equivalent of a two-year (64 credit) program delivered in an intensive, one-year format. PLBC’s counselling programs train caring, healthy, Christ-centered counsellors. Students choose between the intensive diploma (completed in one year) and the BA in Biblical Studies and Counselling (completed in three years). The program blends academics with practical training. Classes are supplemented with hands-on learning. Under careful supervision from a licensed counsellor, students have an opportunity to counsel their peers, be counselled in return, and observe the counsellor-counsellee relationships.
My time at PLBC was honestly unforgettable. Initially I went into the counseling program to learn more about myself. Here, I found my passion for coming alongside people and reducing barriers to be transformed into fully devoted followers of Jesus.

Biblical Studies
Bachelor of Theology
The Bachelor of Theology is an accelerated program designed for applicants pursuing a second bachelors degree at PLBC. Those who meet the qualifications for this program can usually complete their BTh in two to three years, if studying full-time.

Biblical Studies
This program with its academic focus helps the student build their life on a solid biblical foundation. Not only will this program help students learn for themselves the Bible and the basics of Christian doctrine, but it will also help them to teach and interact with others, both in the church and in the marketplace.

Christian Life Launch Certificate
This one-year program directs students towards their God-given calling and purpose – whether they continue biblical studies, go on to university or start a business, this program is designed for students to build a foundation centered on Christ and His mission before they set out onto their respective paths. After eight months of on-campus studies, students finish the program with a month-long foreign missions trip that is bound to broaden their knowledge about what God is doing around world.

Church Ministry
Church Ministries
The Bachelor of Arts in Church Ministries program provides students with flexibility so they can customize their studies. With less required classes, students have the freedom to personalize their degree based on their specific calling. Whether you want to go right into ministry, further your education at a graduate level or develop a strong foundation for Christ-centered living, this program will help prepare you for your future in following the path that God has planned for you

Children and Family Ministry
The BA in Children’s & Family Ministry is a program for those who feel called to be an advocate for children and their unique spiritual development within the church community and beyond. Students have the opportunity to live out what they learn in the classroom as they enter into practicums that equip them for church leadership in children’s and family ministries.
As students study the Bible, theology, and psychology, as well as practice servant-hearted leadership, they develop a solid foundation for a life in ministry to children. Graduates from this program will go on to work as pastors in various capacities (such as children & family ministries pastor), in parachurch organizations, and in social work settings. Others will continue with graduate studies or pursue additional education as teachers.
Intercultural Ministry
Intercultural Ministries is a program designed to develop intercultural leaders and catalysts who understand that “global challenges require global cooperation.” It is for men and women who have a heart for the nations. It is for Jesus’ disciples who desire to faithfully live out both the Great Commission and Great Commandment, wherever God has placed them.
This is a foundational intercultural ministry program with a focus on diaspora missiology, providing future graduates with the under-standing, character, and empathy for local and global intercultural engagement.

Music Ministry
THE MUSIC MINISTRY PROGRAM is for musicians, singers, songwriters, and creative artists who are committed to making an impact for Jesus through music and the arts. Students will grow in their musical skills while being developed as a theologian and strong Christian leaders. This program offers a diploma or bachelor’s degree option. Alongside Bible and theology classes, students take classes in songwriting and recording, worship leading, worship team management, music production, music theory, and private lessons. This program offers a two-year diploma or four-year bachelor’s degree option.
I’ve learned so much and grown significantly as a musician and as a follower of Jesus, while making friendships that I know will last a lifetime.

Pastoral Leadership
The BA in Biblical Studies and Pastoral Leadership is a program for those who feel called to be vocational or bi-vocational pastors and leaders in ministry. Students have the opportunity to live out what they learn in the classroom as they enter into practicums that equip them for church leadership. As students study the Bible, theology and practice servant-hearted leadership, they develop a solid foundation for a life in ministry. Graduates from this program have gone on to work as pastors in various capacities, such as, senior leadership, children & youth ministries and in parachurch organizations. Others have continued with graduate studies or have pursued missions work around the world.

Youth Ministry
The Biblical Studies and Youth Ministry program is geared towards students who are passionate about bringing the younger generations closer to Christ. This program offers courses in youth crisis and intervention, adolescent development, adolescent sexuality, as well as event planning for youth ministry. Bible and Theology classes are also taken to bring context within a Christian worldview. The hands-on component in this program calls students to serve young people in the local church so that they can practically apply what they are learning in the classroom.

Then I came to PLBC to become a Youth Pastor, and everything I thought I knew was challenged and reshaped. PLBC ONLINE
The reality is that sometimes life is busy and prioritizing school can become difficult. Pacific Life Online is a great solution for students wanting to take their college classes with a margin of flexibility.
We are consistently updating our catalogue of online courses. Local students also have the option of blending campus classes with online classes in order to facilitate their personal schedules.
I love PLBC! Their online studies allowed for me to study while being in ministry. Each course I took got to be considered in the daily activities and opportunities of pastoring. The teachers and leaders at PLBC were supportive and encouraging of my life and ministry and I enjoyed the personal connection with them.

English Language Immersion
The English Language Immersion (ELI) program includes a variety of English language courses, mixed with Bible and theology classes. The program is designed to improve the student’s English in preparation for future studies.
ELI is different from typical ESL programs in that it exists to enrich the Christian life of intermediate and advanced English language learners. Alongside classes, students are immersed in college life, having the opportunity to participate in all college activities and use the English skills they are learning in their classes.
Before I came to PLBC, I wasn’t really interested in the Bible or theology, I mainly came to learn English. While studying in the ELI program, I not only improved my English, but found a deep passion for the word of God.
