Affordable Education for Licensed Ministers
Through our partnership with the Foursquare Gospel Church of Canada, we’ve made pursuing your FMD more accessible than ever:
- 50% Tuition Bursary: Licensed ministers automatically receive a bursary that covers half the cost of tuition.
- Full Reimbursement Option: Upon successfully completing a course, apply for the Foursquare Educational Subsidy to have the remaining tuition reimbursed.
For the cost of books and minimal fees, you can earn your diploma without financial strain.
What is FMD?
The Foursquare Ministerial Diploma (FMD) is the minimum educational requirement for licensed ministers in Canada. It’s designed to provide a strong foundation in biblical and theological training to support your ministry.
You can pursue the FMD through:

New Life Foursquare Church
In the summer of 2018 Carolyn went to Cranbrook, BC to take on the leadership of New Life. Pastor Carolyn also serves as the unit supervisor for our Foursquare Churches in the Rocky Mountain Unit. In addition to church leadership, Carolyn and her husband also enjoy spending time with her four adult sons and three daughter in-laws, and their three young granddaughters. Hobbies include the great outdoors, music, road trips together, watersports & reading.
PASTORAL MINSITRY
PMN 361-OL
This course is designed to lay a solid theological foundation concerning pastoral ministry and its theology, philosophy and accompanying components. Attention is given to the principles, practices and problems of shepherding the people of God, from one-on-one ministry to public roles in conducting various services.

Northside Foursquare Church
Jen has been adjunct faculty at PLBC since 2016 and now serves as the Director of Pastoral Leadership. She is PLBC alumni and holds a master’s degree in strategic leadership from Life Pacific University. Jen has been active in ministry for close to 25 years as a youth pastor, lead pastor and now executive pastor at Northside Foursquare Church in Coquitlam, BC. When not studying or pastoring or teaching, she can most readily be found in the forest, on a mountain, or near the ocean.
