Big News from PLBC -UPDATED

Dear Friends and Supporters,

From time to time your smart phone will alert you to new updates for your applications and operating systems. These changes allow for new features, refinement of existing offerings, and corrections for things that aren’t working just right. In a similar way, PLBC is pleased to announce a number of significant upgrades to be rolled out this summer. All of these updates build on our long history of equipping leaders and will enable us to achieve greater levels of missional effectiveness in the years ahead. So what’s happening?

  1. We’re moving! Well at least our City Campus is moving. We are consolidating back to one campus to better align our practice with our values. We believe students are transformed in community and having all of our departments on one campus creates the most conducive environment for increased community life. Classes will all be held at 15030 66a Ave, Surrey as of September 2024.Want to help move? Stay tuned for details about moving days, but in the mean time email our Receptionist Sarah, office@pacificlife.edu, to get on the list

  1. Our Core is Upgrading. Across our programs students take courses from a shared core. This core is growing and being adapted to the realities of ministry today. New classes in conflict resolution and emotional health will join longterm favourites in biblical studies and ministry preparation. We are responding so our students will be well equipped for Spirit-empowered ministry.

  1. Our Programs are Being Realigned. We are passionate about our mission and are clarifying our program offerings to make clear pathways to equip people for their callings. Our 1-year certificates, 2-year Associate of Arts degrees, and 4-year Bachelor’s degrees are now available across 6 programs with a variety of concentrations and majors, and most have been reduced in credit hours so that they can be completed sooner. Keep and eye on our website for all of the details!

To keep our students, alumni and supporters in the loop, we are hosted an online Town Hall Meeting on Monday, June 24. Members of our team walked through these changes and answered questions. Watch the video below.

Thank you for your continued support and prayers. We couldn’t do this without you.

Blessings,

Matthew DelBlanc
