Spotlights
Joelle Axford
Class of 2018
After graduating from PLBC, Joelle has been able to try different experiences such as moving to the United States, trying new passions like photography, and exploring the musical gifts that God has given her. God has used these three years to guide her to be dependent on Him. She has been able to slow down her routine to appreciate the simple moments of life. Photography has allowed her to capture her adventures during this time. Joelle enjoys being in nature and resting in His creation. She is thankful that her time at PLBC challenged her faith so that she could be confident in who God has made her to be.
Michael Chinchilla
Class of 2016
Michael is thankful for the professors at PLBC because he was challenged to own his beliefs and to think outside of the box. He is currently a pastor at Village Church in Calgary, AB. Because Covid has significantly changed the format of church services, Michael is able to explore what it means to be the church and he gets to serve God’s people in an intentional and organic way. Some of Michael’s greatest achievements was being a part of a fundraiser, that was held at Village Church, that raised 1.5 million dollars to send to an organization in Uganda to help build hospitals and schools.
