Instructor: Katy Brown, MSW

Katy Brown is a family therapist with a Master of Social Work and a deep passion for equipping Christian leaders in their journey toward emotional and relational health. Her desire is to reinforce their resilience so they can wholeheartedly walk out their God-given calling.

With a background that includes serving as a children’s pastor, youth leader, and young adult leader—as well as being both a pastor’s kid and a missionary kid—Katy brings a unique, lived understanding of the joys and challenges of ministry life. Her experience as a foster parent, and her work with at-risk youth in group homes, has further fueled her commitment to helping leaders understand the impact of trauma and how to respond with wisdom and compassion. Teaching these workshops is one way she aspires to bring both of these worlds together.
