Youth Ministry

The Youth Ministry program is geared towards students who are passionate about bringing the younger generations closer to Christ. This program offers courses in youth crisis and intervention, adolescent development, adolescent sexuality, as well as event planning for youth ministry. Bible and Theology classes are also taken to bring context within a Christian worldview. The hands-on component in this program calls students to serve young people in the local church so that they can practically apply what they are learning in the classroom.

There is a diploma or bachelor’s degree option designed to equip students to lead youth groups or become youth workers in church or parachurch ministries.

"Changing the way I do youth ministry"

I thought I knew a lot about youth. I had been serving for 8 years as a youth leader, and then intern. I thought I had it down. Then I came to PLBC to become a Youth Pastor, and everything I thought I knew was challenged and reshaped. God has changed my perspective and my heart, and I'm realizing that I don't know as much as I thought I did! PLBC is changing the way I do youth ministry.
